Ingredients

3 cups sugar
1 cup water
1/2 cup vinegar
1/4 stick margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cook water, sugar, and vinegar over low heat 8-10 minutes or soft ball stage. Add margarine and vanilla. Stir well. Pour onto greased platter until cool enough to handle. With buttered hands, pick up the blob and begin to pull. The more you pull the whiter it gets. Cut into small pieces with scissors. Be sure to keep hands buttered while pulling.
