Hermits(A Christmas Cookie) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. buttered Crisco
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. cold black coffee
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 1/2 c. raisins
1 1/4 c. broken black walnuts
1 tsp. nutmeg

Preparation

Cream Crisco, brown sugar and eggs together.
Stir in coffee. Sift flour, soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon together.
Stir into mixture.
Add raisins and walnuts.
Chill at least one hour. Place on baking sheet by teaspoons and bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400\u00b0.
