Scripture Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 1/2 c. flour (1 Kings 4:22)
2 c. sugar (Jeremiah 6:20)
2 c. figs (Nahum 3:12)
6 eggs (Jeremiah 17:11)
2 tsp. baking powder (Amos 4:5)
6 tsp. honey (1 Samuel 14:25)
1 c. butter (Judges 5:25b)
2 c. raisins (1 Samuel 30:12)
2 c. almonds (Numbers 17:8)
1 c. milk (Judges 4:19b)
1/4 tsp. salt (Leviticus 2:13)
season to taste with spice (2 Chronicles 9:9)
Preparation

Cream together the butter and sugar.
Dredge raisins with small amount of flour.
Sift together the dry ingredients. Alternate by adding flour and milk.
Add honey and figs.
Fold in raisins and almonds.
Pour into Bundt or tube pan (well-greased). Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Makes a nice holiday cake.
