Applesauce Cake Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. applesauce
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Grease and flour pan lightly.
In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients except the nuts. Beat at medium speed until well blended.
Stir in nuts.
Pour into a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Bake 55 to 60 minutes or until toothpick comes clean at 350\u00b0.
