Chess Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
    1 stick margarine
    1 egg
    1 box confectioner sugar
    1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
    3 eggs
    pinch of salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Mix together margarine, cake mix, egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Pat in bottom of 9 x 13-inch cake pan which has been sprayed with Pam.
    Cream together cream cheese and sugar.
    Add beaten eggs and mix thoroughly.
    Add salt and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
    Pour this mixture over cake mixture.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 40 minutes or until golden brown on top.
    When cool, cut into squares.
