Ingredients

6 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 lb. (2 c.) lard
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. anise seed
2 egg yolks
1 or 2 jiggers brandy
Preparation

Cream lard with sugar until fluffy.
Add anise seed.
Beat eggs, one at a time.
Add flour mixer with 1/2 cup water.
