Pastry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    6 Tbsp. solid shortening
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. ice water
Preparation
    Sift flour and salt.
    Cut flat into flour with a pastry fork (grandma used a spoon) until mixture is like coarse meal.
    Add the water by teaspoon, mixing lightly.
    Gather into a ball and roll out on floured board.
    Makes one pastry shell.
