Preserves Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. cooking oil
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. preserves (any kind)
    3/4 c. black walnuts or other nuts
Preparation
    Mix first 10 ingredients in order given.
    Add preserves, then black walnuts or other nuts.
    Bake in well-greased tube pan at 300\u00b0 for about 2 hours.
