Cracklin' Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cracklins
    1 c. boiling water
    2 c. corn meal (stone ground)
    salt
Preparation
    Break cracklins
    into
    small
    pieces.
    Over
    these pour boiling water and let
    stand
    10 minutes.
    Then pour them with the water into corn
    meal.
    Add
    more
    water
    to the dough, if needed. Add a little salt.
    Shape the dough into small pones. Bake in a lightly
    greased iron skillet in hot oven (400\u00b0) for 45 minutes or less.
