Stuffed Artichokes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium artichokes
    lemon juice
    2 c. chopped, fresh mushrooms
    1/2 c. sliced green onion
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    3 c. sift bread crumbs (4 slices)
    1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    1/4 c. chopped parsley
    1 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
Preparation
    Remove stems and loose outer leaves from artichokes.
    Cut off 1 inch from tops.
    Snip off sharp leaf tips.
    Brush cut edges with lemon juice.
    Place artichokes in steamer basket.
    Place over boiling water.
    Cover and steam 30 to 40 minutes or until leaf pulls out easily.
    (Add more boiling water if necessary.)
    Remove artichokes; set aside until cool enough to handle.
    Remove center leaves and choke (fuzzy stuff).
