Low Calorie Ambrosia - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 envelopes unflavored gelatin
1 c. orange juice
1/4 c. sugar
1 c. boiling water
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 tsp. grated lemon peel
1 tsp. grated orange peel
1 can mandarin oranges, drained
6 egg whites (at room temperature)
dash of salt
Preparation

Sprinkle gelatin over orange juice.
Let stand 5 minutes. Bring to a boil.
Remove from heat.
Add 2 tablespoons sugar and the 1 cup boiling water.
Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Pour into bowl.
Add lemon juice, lemon peel, orange juice and orange peel.
Set bowl in ice to chill, stirring occasionally, until thick as egg whites.
Beat egg whites and salt until foamy.
Add rest of sugar.
Beat gelatin.
Fold all together.
Chill for 3 hours.
