Ingredients

1 stick margarine
4 (1 oz.) sq. bitter chocolate
2 eggs
2 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. sifted self-rising flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. sugar
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour 2 round cake pans. Melt margarine and chocolate together.
Cool.
Beat eggs until frothy.
Add buttermilk and vanilla.
Blend dry ingredients into buttermilk mixture.
Add chocolate mixture.
Pour into pans.
Bake about 30 minutes.
Cool and frost.
