Macaroni And Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. uncooked macaroni
    1 large onion, chopped coarsely
    1 small can tomatoes
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Cook macaroni in saucepan with water to cover, adding salt. Bring to a rolling boil.
    Cut heat off and cover saucepan for 5 minutes.
    Drain water.
    Stir macaroni and add onion.
    Bring to a slow boil.
    Cover saucepan and let the onion cook 2 minutes.
    Add tomatoes, sugar, butter and pepper.
