Double Almond Biscotti - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. slivered blanched almonds (about 4 oz.), coarsely chopped
    1/2 c. butter or margarine (preferably unsalted), softened
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    3 large eggs (at room temperature)
    2 Tbsp. vanilla extract
    2 tsp. grated lemon peel
    2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Heat dry 8-inch skillet over low heat. Add 3/4 cup chopped almonds, cook 5 to 6 minutes, stirring frequently until golden.
    Set aside to cool.
