Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. flour
    pinch of salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 3/4 c. sugar, divided
    3/4 c. milk
    6 Tbsp. margarine
    1 can (29 oz.) peaches, sliced (fresh peaches can be used)
Preparation
    Combine 2 1/2 cups sliced peaches with 3/4 cup sugar.
    Let sit 20-30 minutes.
    Sift flour, salt, and baking powder.
    Mix with one cup sugar.
    Slowly stir in milk to make a batter.
    Melt margarine in baking dish.
    Pour batter over butter.
    DO NOT STIR! Carefully spoon peaches and about 1/2 of the juice over the batter.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for one hour.
    Serve hot or cold with ice cream.
