Mother'S Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes
    2 large onions
    2 1/2 to 3 lb. hamburger
    2 cans red kidney beans
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato paste
    2 Tbsp. Mexene chili powder
    1 pkg. Carrol Shelby's Texas chili powder (if you can find it)
Preparation
    Combine diced potatoes and onions in a large pot.
    Salt and bring to a low boil.
    Cook hamburger in ungreased skillet until slightly done (salt and pepper to taste).
    Pour off excess water from potatoes after slight boil (not \"mushy\").
    Add 2 cans kidney beans and 2 cans tomato paste.
    Add hamburger from skillet (do not drain).
    Sprinkle in 2 tablespoons of Mexene chili powder and stir (and a bit of Shelby's powder).
    Cover and bake in a 300\u00b0 oven for 4 hours.
    Stir occasionally.
    The longer the baking, the thicker the chili.
    Add water as needed or desired while cooking.
