Christmas Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 tsp. vanilla
    4 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream the butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Blend in flour; mix well. Refrigerate 2 hours.
    Roll out dough on floured and sugared surface. Cut out cookies.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 6 to 9 minutes. Frost with powdered sugar frosting.
