Pepper Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 c. chopped onions
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
3 Tbsp. soy sauce
2 lb. round steak, cut in 2-inch strips
2 green peppers, cut in strips
1 beef bouillon cube
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. each sugar and salt
Preparation

In skillet, melt margarine. Add beef; sprinkle with garlic powder and saute, stirring slightly, until browned. Add onion, tomatoes and bouillon cube. Blend together cornstarch, water, soy sauce, sugar and salt. Stir into meat mixture.
Add green peppers. Simmer about 45 minutes.
Serve with rice or whipped potatoes.
