Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. dairy sour cream
2 tsp. dried grated orange peel
1 tsp. ground cardamom
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
2 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease baking sheets.
Set aside.
In large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in egg and sour cream.
Stir in orange peel, cardamom, ginger and cloves.
Mix in flour and baking soda.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
Roll in sugar.
Place 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheet.
Flatten each cookie with bottom of drinking glass.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown.
Remove to cooling rack.
Makes 5 to 5 1/2 dozen cookies.
