Lemon Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 eggs
2 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
5 c. boiling water
1 stick butter
2 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Beat eggs.
Mix flour and sugar and add to beaten eggs.
If mixture is too thick to stir, add a little water.
Pour boiling water over the mixture a cupful at a time until you have used 5 cups.
Cook over medium heat until slightly thickened, beating with a rotary beater while cooking.
Add the butter while it is hot.
Add flavoring and salt.
Serve warm or cold.
