Sweet Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. sliced cucumbers
    3 c. lime in 2 gal. water
    4 1/4 to 5 lb. sugar
    3 pt. cider vinegar
    1 tsp. each: ginger root, cinnamon bark, cloves, allspice and celery seed, tied in a cloth bag
Preparation
    Soak cucumbers 24 hours in the lime solution.
    Wash out lime water, then soak 1 hour each for 4 times.
    Bring sugar, spices and vinegar to a rolling boil.
    Pour over cucumbers and let sit for 12 hours.
    Bring to a boil and cook 1 hour or until clear.
    Pack (with liquid) cucumber pickles into hot jars and seal.
