Raisin Drop Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. raisin
1 c. water
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
3 egg, beaten
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Add water to the raisins and boil for 5 minutes.
Cool.
Stir in soda and let stand.
Cream shortening and sugar.
Add vanilla and beaten eggs and the cooled raisins with their liquid and flour sifted with the baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Stir in nuts and drop by teaspoon on greased sheet.
Leave plenty of space between cookies.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes.
Cool.
Store in jar.
