Apricot Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
    1/2 c. sugar
    6 oz. pkg. apricot Jell-O
    8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
    1 c. ice water
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. diced celery
    1 envelope Dream Whip
Preparation
    Mix crushed pineapple and sugar in saucepan.
    Bring to a full boil.
    Add Jell-O to dissolve.
    Add cream cheese.
    Remove from heat and stir until cream cheese is completely blended.
    Add ice water to thicken.
    Let cool and then add chopped nuts and celery. Set in refrigerator until mixture starts to jell.
    Prepare Dream Whip according to package directions.
    Fold into Jell-O mixture. Chill 24 hours in a 13 x 9-inch pan.
