Cabbage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium cabbage
    1 1/2 lb. ground veal or beef
    1 c. cooked rice
    1 egg
    1 medium onion, minced
    1 medium carrot, grated
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 large can tomatoes
    4 tsp. chopped chives
Preparation
    Core and chop the cabbage.
    Place in boiling water for a few minutes.
    Drain.
    Mix together meat, rice, egg, onion, carrot and salt.
    Mix together sugar, tomatoes and chives.
    In a casserole dish, layer cabbage-meat mixture and tomatoes.
    Bake 1 1/4 hours at 350\u00b0 or can be cooked in a crock-pot on low 8 hours.
