Chewy Oatmeal Fruit Bars - cooking recipe

3 c. rolled oats
1 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. apple juice concentrate
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. raisins
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. warm water
1 banana, mashed or dried fruit (if desired)
Preparation

Mix oats, flour and apple juice in a large bowl until lumps are gone.
Stir in cinnamon and raisins.
Mix vanilla in the warm water and add, mixing well.
Stir in banana and optional dried fruit.
Let stand 15 or 20 minutes.
Mix again and pour into nonstick 8-inch square pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 or 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until browned.
Makes 16 servings.
