Orange Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2/3 c. buttermilk
    1 c. raisins
    rind of 1 orange
    1/2 c. nuts
    1/2 c. sugar
    juice of 1 orange
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Cream the shortening, first 1/2 cup white sugar and brown sugar. Add beaten eggs and vanilla.
    Add flour and buttermilk alternately. Baking soda can be put in flour or buttermilk.
    Grind raisins, nuts and orange rind.
    Add to other ingredients.
    Bake at 325\u00b0.
    Check after 1 hour.
    Dissolve remaining 1/2 cup sugar in juice of orange and pour over cake after it has been out of the oven for awhile.
