Date Nut Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs (separate whites and yolks)
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    1 c. flour
    1 lb. dates
    1 qt. pecans
    2 tsp. baking powder
    candied cherries
Preparation
    Sift flour, sugar and baking powder.
    Add and stir oleo and egg yolks; then nuts and dates.
    Beat egg whites and fold into above mixture.
    Bake for 1 hour at 325\u00b0 in a tube pan.
    Decorate top with candied cherries.
