Chinese Vegetables - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can bean sprouts
    1 can carrots
    1 can string beans
    1 can Shoe Peg corn
    1 can English peas
    1 can bamboo shoots
    1 large jar chopped pimento
    1 (15 oz.) can water chestnuts, cut up
    1 c. diced celery
    1 chopped onion
    1 diced green pepper
    1/2 c. Crisco oil
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. white vinegar
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    dash of Tabasco
Preparation
    Drain first 7 ingredients for 1 hour.
    Add water chestnuts, celery, onion and bell pepper.
    Bring remaining ingredients to a boil and pour over vegetable mixture.
    Refrigerate 24 hours.
