Pink Stuff Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
    1 small carton small curd cottage cheese
    1 carton Cool Whip, chilled
    1 small carton small curd cottage cheese
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 box sliced strawberries, thawed
    1 bottle drained maraschino cherries, chopped
Preparation
    Bring pineapple to a boil.
    Add 1 small carton small curd cottage cheese and stir until dissolved.
    Fold in remaining ingredients.
    Chill and serve.
