Homemade Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. lukewarm water
    1 pkg. yeast
    2/3 c. shortening
    2/3 c. white sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    6 c. bread flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water and add shortening, sugar, salt, egg and 3 cups flour.
    Mix until smooth.
    Add remaining flour, mixing with a spoon.
    Let it rise until it doubles in size.
