Garlic Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. diced or sliced cucumbers
    5 garlic bulbs
    4 onions
    2 sweet peppers
    1/2 c. salt per 4 qt. cukes
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    5 c. sugar
    3 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Let cucumbers, garlic, onions and sweet peppers stand in ice water for 3 hours.
    Then mix all ingredients together in one container and bring to a boil.
    Pack in pint or quart jars.
