Ingredients

1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
2 lb. round steak (1/2-inch thick)
3 Tbsp. shortening
1 medium onion, sliced thin
1 lemon, sliced
1 bell pepper, sliced
5 whole cloves
1/2 c. water
1 c. catsup
Preparation

Combine flour, salt and pepper.
Pound into steak.
Melt shortening in skillet and brown steak.
Place in a large casserole. Blend catsup and water.
Pour around steak. Add onion, lemon, green pepper and cloves. Cover tightly and bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 1 hour.
