Cherry Crunch - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
2 (1 lb. 5 oz.) cans cherry pie filling
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Cut butter into dry cake mix until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.
Reserve 1 cup mixture.
Pat remaining mixture lightly into ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch oblong pan, building up 1/2-inch edge.
Spread pie filling over cake mixture to within 1/2-inch of pan edge.
Mix walnuts and the 1 cup reserved mixture; sprinkle over top.
Bake 45 to 50 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
Serves 12 to 15.
