Garlic Bread Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    2 c. warm water
    1 Tbsp. salt
    5 1/2 c. flour
    3 garlic cloves
    1 egg
Preparation
    Soften 1 package active dry yeast in warm water.
    Add salt. Blend in 3 cups flour and garlic cloves, mashed well.
    Add 2 to 2 1/2 cups more flour.
    Knead until smooth.
    Put into a greased bowl. Cover and let stand 2 hours until doubled.
    Punch down.
    Let stand 10 minutes, covered.
    Roll sections of dough into long sticks (about 8 or 10).
    Place on greased cookie sheets.
    Brush with 1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon milk.
    Let rise in warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
    Again brush with egg and sprinkle on garlic salt.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 18 to 20 minutes.
