Never Fail Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium egg whites (room temperature)
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    pinch of salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until fluffy.
    Add salt and beat.
    Gradually add sugar and cream of tartar.
    Beat until very stiff.
    Add vanilla and beat.
    Put on pie and bake or broil until brown.
