Pineapple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 small or 1/2 medium size can crushed pineapple
1 c. juice (pineapple) and water mixed
1 egg
4 Tbsp. cornstarch
2/3 c. sugar
5 Tbsp. cold water
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Drain juice from pineapple and add water to make 1 cup.
Put this in saucepan with pineapple and butter.
Bring to a boil. While this is cooking, beat egg and 5 tablespoons cold water, then dissolve cornstarch in this, then add sugar to it.
Now add this mixture to the cooked mixture and continue to cook and stir 2 to 3 minutes more.
Cool some and then put in baked pie shell and top with meringue.
