Pumpkin Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 2/3 c. sugar
    2/3 c. water
    4 eggs
    1 lb. can pumpkin
    3 1/3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    2/3 c. broken nuts
    2/3 c. raisins or dates
Preparation
    Cream shortening (margarine) and sugar thoroughly.
    Add eggs, pumpkin and water.
    Sift together dry ingredients and spices. Add to pumpkin mixture.
    Stir in raisins and nuts.
    Pour into 2 greased 5 x 9-inch loaf pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour; or pour into 4 greased 3 1/2 x 7 1/2-inch loaf pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
