Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. cucumbers, sliced
    1 qt. onions, sliced
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 pt. vinegar
    2 c. white sugar
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Put sliced onions and cucumbers into cold water with 1 tablespoon of salt.
    Let stand 3 hours, then drain.
    Heat vinegar, sugar and spices to boiling.
    Add drained pickles.
    Heat through and can.
