Kibbee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground round steak
    1 1/2 c. fine wheat
    3 tsp. salt
    1 small onion, grated
    1/3 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Wash wheat and drain.
    Add water to cover.
    Let stand 10 minutes.
    Remove excess water.
    Mix wheat with meat, salt, onion and pepper.
    Knead well.
    Butter an 8 1/2 x 11-inch baking pan lightly.
    Divide Kibbee in 2 parts.
    Spread half on bottom of pan. Spread filling over Kibbee patting down lightly.
    Smooth remaining Kibbee over filling and smooth with hand dipped in ice water.
    Run a knife around edge and cut out into diamond shape. Pour butter set aside from filling over top of Kibbee.
    Bake in a 450\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes or until done.
