Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 c. corn syrup
1 c. water
2 1/2 c. raw peanuts
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. soda
Preparation

Cook sugar, syrup and water until it forms a hard ball in cool water or candy thermometer registers 250\u00b0 to 260\u00b0.
Add unbleached peanuts and continue to cook until the mixture turns a golden brown or thermometer reaches 300\u00b0.
Remove from heat and stir in butter and salt.
Stir in the soda.
Pour onto a greased slab and pull out to a thin sheet.
Break into pieces when cool.
