Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large onions, diced
    1 large green pepper, diced
    3 Tbsp. oil
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 c. (No. 303 can) stewed tomatoes
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. chili powder
    2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Saute onions and pepper until yellow.
    Fry beef until brown. Stir all ingredients together.
    Cover and cook for 1 hour. Uncover last 15 minutes.
    Stir every 15 minutes.
    My family loves this meal.
