Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    4 oz. diced green chiles
    1/2 c. grated Monterey Jack
    2 tsp. bacon-onion seasoning
    1 c. sifted cornmeal
    1 lb. cream-style corn
    1/2 c. grated Cheddar
    1 c. sifted flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream together the butter and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each.
    Add chiles, corn, cheeses and seasoning. Blend well. Sift together flour, cornmeal and baking powder.
    Add to corn mixture and blend well.
    Pour into a greased and floured 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish or 18 muffin cups.
    Place in preheated 350\u00b0 oven and immediately reduce heat to 300\u00b0.
    Bake bread for 1 hour, muffins for 45 minutes.
    Makes 18 muffins or bread.
