Sourdough Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1 1/2 c. warm water
    1 c. Sourdough Starter
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. sugar
    6 c. flour
    1/2 c. soda
Preparation
    In large mixer bowl, soften yeast in warm water.
    Blend in Sourdough Starter, salt and sugar.
    Add 2 1/2 cups flour.
    Beat 4 minutes with electric mixer.
    Cover; let rise until light and bubbly, about 1 1/2 hours.
    Combine soda and 2 1/2 cups flour; stir in dough.
    Add enough flour to make a stiff dough.
    Turn out on floured board and knead 5 to 7 minutes.
    Divide dough in half. Cover and let rise 10 minutes.
    Shape into 2 round loaves.
    Place on slightly greased baking sheet.
    With sharp knife, cut slashes across top.
    Let rise 1 1/2 hours.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
