Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 oz. (1/2 c.) rice
    1 1/2 qt. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. raisins (optional)
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Combine rice and milk.
    Add salt, sugar and raisins in saucepan.
    Bring to a boil, stirring often.
    Simmer 1/2 hour, until rice is soft.
    Beat eggs; add to hot mixture.
    Stir, then remove from heat.
    Add vanilla; stir.
    May be served warm or cool. Excellent topped with cream and a dash of cinnamon and sugar.
