Pfeffernuss - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
grated rind of 1 orange
1/2 c. butter, softened
2 eggs, beaten
confectioners sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground anise seed
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. light molasses
Preparation

Sift together dry ingredients.
Stir in grated orange rind and chopped nuts.
In a separate bowl cream butter and sugar.
Beat in eggs and molasses.
Stir egg mixture into first mixture to make a smooth dough.
Roll into balls in size of walnuts.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
Roll in confectioners sugar upon taking from oven.
