Frosty Strawberry Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1/2 c. nuts
    2 egg whites
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. sliced fresh strawberries
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 c. Cool Whip
Preparation
    Stir flour, butter, brown sugar and nuts together and spread evenly in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Stir occasionally.
    Leave 2/3 of mixture in pan.
    Remove other and save.
    Combine whites, sugar, strawberries and lemon juice in a large bowl and beat to stiff peaks (10 minutes).
    Fold in Cool Whip.
    Spoon over crumbs and top with saved crumbs.
    Freeze 6 hours or overnight.
    Cut in squares.
    Serves 12.
    May use 10 ounce frozen strawberries, partially thawed.
