Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. active dry yeast
2 c. buttermilk
5 c. plain flour, sifted
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. warm water
1 tsp. soda
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. Crisco shortening
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Sift dry ingredients together and cut in shortening.
Add yeast mixture to buttermilk and mix with dry ingredients.
Knead, then roll out and cut into biscuits. Brush with butter and bake at 400\u00b0 until brown.
Yields 30 to 36.
