English Toffee Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

24 square saltines with unsalted tops
1 c. margarine
1 c. packed light brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 c.)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Combine peanut butter, sugar, egg and vanilla to thoroughly blend.
Drop by teaspoon, 2 inches apart, onto cookie sheet.
Flatten with bottom of glass dipped in sugar. Bake for 14 to 16 minutes, until lightly browned.
Cool on a rack. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
