Gourmet Hominy Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (1 lb. 13 oz.) cans white hominy
    2 (4 oz.) cans green chilies
    butter
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 small sour cream
    1 c. heavy cream
    1 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Preparation
    Drain and rinse hominy.
    Generously grease with butter, a 3-quart casserole.
    Layer following ingredients in order: hominy (use 1/2), 1/2 green chilies, minced; season with salt and pepper. Dot generously with sour cream and butter.
    Repeat layers; dot with sour cream and butter.
    Pour cream over all.
    Sprinkle with 1 cup cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Serve piping hot.
    Good with steak instead of baked potatoes.
