Rutabaga And Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 rutabaga (1 1/2 lb.), peeled and cubed
    4 medium apples (tart), peeled, cored and cubed or sliced
    6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    some salt
    2/3 c. packed brown sugar
Preparation
    In covered saucepan, boil rutabaga for about 20 minutes in salt water.
    Drain well.
    Rub sides of 2-quart casserole with butter.
    Place half the rutabaga and half the apples in it. Sprinkle with half the brown sugar and dash of salt.
    Repeat layers, ending with brown sugar and butter.
    Bake, covered, at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Great with turkey or ham.
    Serves 4.
